To safely remove the microSD card from your phone
You can safely remove the microSD card from your phone any time the phone is
turned off, as described in "Your phone and accessories" on page 15. If you need to
remove the microSD card while the phone is on, you must unmount the storage card
form the phone first, to prevent corrupting or damaging the storage card.

Press Home
application.
Touch SD card & phone storage.

Touch Unmount SD card.

You can now safely remove the microSD card from the phone.
To format a microSD card
If you purchase a new microSD card, you may need to format it before you can use it
with your phone. You can also format a microSD card to erase its contents.

You can format a microSD card only when it is unmounted.
Touch Format SD card. On the screen that warns you that formatting the
