Always disconnect the battery
ground strap if you must work n the
fuel system or the electrical s stem.
Never smoke or work near heaters or
other fire hazards if you must work
around fuel. Always keep an approved
fire extinguisher immediately avail-
able.
Be especially careful if engine is run-
ning:

If work must be done wi h the
engine running, always fully
parking brake, and make sure the shift
lever is In Neutral.

Always be alert and extre
utious around the engine at alt times
particularly when the engine is run-
ning.
§
Always exercise extreme caution
o t o prevent neckties, jewelry,
y or loose clothing from getting caught
in the fan blades, the V-belts, or any
other moving engine parts.
§
To avoid electrical shock and
personal injury never touch ignition
cables or components of the high vol-
tage electronic ignition system while
the engine is running or even when
starter is cranked
