OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Supports:

• Blu-ray zones: A, B, C
• DVD regions: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Switching Blu-ray Zones:
Switching Zones is done using the remote control.

• Make sure the player is on and there is no disc in the player.
• Press DIMMER – DIMMER – DIMMER - MUTE
• Select Blu-ray zone as followed:
  • Zone A: Press 1 on the remote control
  • Zone B: Press 2 on the remote control
  • Zone C: Press 3 on the remote control
• Restart the player (turn it off and then back on)

Switching DVD Regions:
Switching Regions is done using the remote control.

• Make sure the player is on and there is no disc in the player.
• Press DIMMER – DIMMER – DIMMER – PURE AUDIO
• Select DVD Region as followed:
  • Region 1: Press 1 on the remote control
  • Region 2: Press 2 on the remote control
  • Region 3: Press 3 on the remote control
  • Region 4: Press 4 on the remote control
  • Region 5: Press 5 on the remote control
  • Region 6: Press 6 on the remote control
  • Automatic: Press 0 on the remote control
• Restart the player (turn it off and then back on)

NOTE: Zone/Region switching must be done within 20 seconds.

Resume Playback Error:
Resume playback of a disc can generate a zone or region error message if the disc was first loaded in a none corresponding zone or region. Since the player 'remembers' where it stopped playing the last time, it will automatically resume playing from that point. Which will be the zone mismatch error part on the disc.
Solution:
First make sure the correct zone or region is selected.
Press the STOP button when the resume playback message shows on screen. This has to be done within 5 seconds (before the message goes off screen).

Installation

OPPO BDP-93/95 EXTERNAL mod

Before you start we recommend to read and understand this manual completely.
This modification is done entirely at your own risk and might void the official manufacturers warranty.
We do NOT accept any liability in the event of damage to your BD-player in the process of installation or in the usage of the modification.

Firmware updating.
Goto the OPPO website to download the latest official firmware manually or connect the player to your internet connection to have it installed automatically.

OPPO BDP-93/95 INTERNAL mod

Opening your player
Make sure that your player is disconnected from the mains before you even start opening the player. If you set the unit in front of you with the display towards you there are 5 screws at the back of the player. Remove them using a Philips screwdriver. Remove the 2 screws at the left and 2 at the right side. Remove the top cover, by gently lifting the back of the cover up, until it comes free.

For the OPPO BDP-95 only

To remove the audio board and power supply board Make sure to de-attach the cables with care. The screws are marked with red in the picture below, several screws are placed at the backplate. When the boards are removed, you are ready to install the kit at the mainboard

The Yellow marked point shows where cable have to be inserted

Connect the 4-pin plug to the 4-pin socket on the right lower part of the mainboard. Remove the protective paper from the adhesive tape on the backside of the mod and place the to the side of the player.
