BDP-83 Firmware Upgrade Instruction
The BDP-83 beta sample unit requires a firmware upgrade as new firmware versions are released to add features and fix
bugs. To upgrade to a new firmware version, please follow these steps:
1. Prepare a USB thumb drive, or a flash memory card with a USB card reader. Connect the USB drive to a computer
which you will use to download and install the firmware. The file system on the USB drive shoud be FAT, although
FAT32 generally works too. NTFS is not supported. If you use Windows, you can check the file system type by
examining the "Properties" of the USB drive.
2. Download the firmware. It should be a ZIP file. Expand the content of the ZIP into the root folder of the USB drive.
Once expanded, you should have a "UPG" folder on the USB drive. Inside the UPG folder there should be two files.
