Read this manual thoroughly before attempting to install or operate this unit. Only qualified personnel should move, install or service this equipment. Any operation that requires opening doors or equipment panels must be carried out only by properly trained and qualified personnel.

  • Page 12 Vertiv™ VRC Self-Contained Rack Cooler User Manual 2.3.1 Evaporator Coil The V shaped evaporator coil provides maximum surface area for heat transfer. The sensible heat ratio (SHR) is higher than 0.9. The coil is made of copper tubes with aluminum fins.
  • Page 13 The L-shaped condenser coil is designed for a maximum contact area. It is made of copper tubes with aluminum fins. 2.3.7 Condenser Fan The condenser fan varies its speed with the condensing pressure. AC fan is used for VRC100 and VRC101, and EC fan is used for VRC102B.

For VRC102B, the IEC 60320 C19 to C20 interconnection cable (3.0 m (9.8 ft)) is provided as an accessory.

Check that there is no leakage in the connections. • Check that the unit has at least 30% of the designated head load. If not, use heating devices to provide enough heat load for the start-up.
