Is it possible to have multiple XDU1350 units on the distribution side (secondary side). I do see that you can control up to 8 CDU's in a group, but can you as an example have 3 CDU in a loop that support f.ex up to 12 rack with AI servers (up to 180kW per rack).

Yes, multiple Vertiv XDU1350 units can be used together on the distribution side. They operate in Group Control mode, where units work in parallel, share load demand, synchronize pump speeds, and can rotate duty and standby roles. This setup can support multiple racks, including high-density AI server racks, provided the total cooling capacity of the configured units matches the heat load of the 12 racks.

3.1 General This document describes the performance, possible configurations, application, and specification of the Vertiv™ XDU1350. The XDU1350 contains a secondary closed loop circuit that provides a supply of cooling fluid to equipment based on differential pressure. The XDU1350 was designed specifically to cool IT equipment through one of two methods: Indirect such as rack mounted rear door heat exchangers.
(typically secondary loop is above the ambient dew point). 3.3 Model Number Nomenclature The XDU1350 can be configured for voltage options to suit most global locations, secondary filtration, primary top/bottom connections and secondary top/bottom connections. Table 3.1 below is an example of the XDU1350 model number, fully configured.
