Overview of Controls
20) MENU button
Open and close DVD's menu.
21) PLAY button
Starts playback.
22) PAUSE button
Pause playback, frame advance.
23) / SEARCH buttons
: Fast reverse playback.
: Fast forward playback.
Using remote control to navigate through the on-screen menus
Use / / / and ENTER on the remote control to navigate through the on-screen displays (the DVD
player's menu, the Information Display that appears during playback, or a disc's menu).
Use / / / on the remote to move through on-screen menus in the direction of the arrow button
(e.g., to move right, press ). The arrow buttons are used to highlight an option. Once highlighted, press
ENTER to select the option that is highlighted.
Using the remote control
• Point the remote control at the REMOTE SENSOR located on the Unit.
• When there is a strong ambient light source, the perform ance of the infrared REMOTE SENSOR may be
degraded, causing unreliable operation.
• The recommended eff ective distance for remote operation is about 16 feet (5 meters).
To install batteries
1. Open the battery door.
Battery replacement
When batteries become weak, the operating distance of the remote control is greatly reduced and you
will need to replace the batteries.
24) NEXT button
Move forward through titles, chapters or tracks
on a disc.
25) SLOW button
Performs slow forward playback of DVDs.
26) REPEAT-DISC button
Repeat chapter or title of a DVD.
Repeat single track or whole CD.
2. Insert two "AAA" size batteries.
