- Page 6 1. Open the battery compartment on the base of the mouse. Insert two AAA batteries (1.5V), making sure the polarity is correct. Close the battery compartment again. 2. Plug the USB receiver into any free USB port on your computer. The operating system will detect and install the device automatically.
