  • Page 7 Preparing the Camera Inserting the battery Battery/card compartment cover Battery lock knob Align l to the battery lock knob side and insert as shown in the fi gure. If you insert the battery reversely, the camera will not turn on even if the n button is pressed.
  • Page 8 Doing so will erase the camera instruction manual and the PC software (ib) data that are stored on the internal memory. Select and execute “OLYMPUS Camera Initialization”, which is displayed on the computer screen when the camera is recognized by the computer.
