Troubleshooting Replication-Related Problems
Symptom:
In the Replication Monitor, some masters show just the header of the table. (For
information on Replication Monitor, see "Monitoring Replication Status" on page
340.)
Reason: No change has originated from the corresponding masters. In this
case, the
Remedy: There is nothing wrong if there is no change originated from a
master.
Useful Tools
The
template-cl-dump.pl
Directory Server Configuration, Command, and File Reference, enables you to
troubleshoot replication-related problems. Depending on the usage options, the
script can selectively dump a particular replica:
•
Dump the contents of a replication-change-log file and in-memory variables
prugeRUV
•
Grep and interpret change sequence numbers (CSNs) in the change log.
•
Get the base-64 encoded change log from the Directory Server and then decode
the change log.
