The Media Library
You can manipulate the Media Library from the Media Library menu, toolbar, or via
the context menu.

Media Library Toolbar

The Media Library Toolbar provides shortcuts to basic database-oriented functions:
The display of this toolbar can be toggled via options in the View menu.

Adding a CD to the Media Library using CDDB

CDE uses an online CDDB media database to automatically identify CDs for addition to the Media
Library.
You must have an active Internet connection to access the CDDB database.
To use CDDB to identify a CD and add it to the Media Library:
1. Insert the CD in your PCs drive.
Hold down the Shift key to prevent the disc from auto-playing, if necessary.
2. Select Media Library > Identify CD (or click the toolbar button) to initiate the identification
of this disc.
3. Once the disc has been positively identified, the Disc Properties dialog is invoked, pre-
populated with the CDs information.

Find - Allows you search for media - enter a search string (the Title, Artist, Track/
Chapter name you want to find) in the Find field and press Enter. Search results are
displayed in this tab.

Command - description
Identify CD - Initiates an attempt at identifying the CD in your PC's local CD
drive.
Find - Opens the Find Media dialog, where you can search for media using sev-
eral advanced search functions.
Add Disc - Opens the Disc Type dialog, where you can specify the type of disc
you want to add (CD or DVD).
Remove Disc - Removes the selected disc from the Media Library.
Disc Properties - Open the Disc Properties dialog, where you can view and edit
information for the selected disc.
