Using a PC Card

You can store data in the Address Book in a PC card, which can also be read by this unit. It is
very useful when you want to share the data in the Address Book with your friends or to store
the data for backup.
You can store the following information on a PC Card:
• Locations registered manually such as your home, your favorite location, or the location in
whose information was edited (Registered Locations)
• Background image when navigation or audio is operated.
Before using a brand new card, you must initialize it, as described next.
sInitializing a PC card
1 Select "Settings" in the Main menu, then select "PC Card " and "Initialise PC Card".
Click the OK button.
A message asking you to confirm the initialization of the PC card appears.
2 Select "Yes" and click the OK button.
Once initialization is complete, a message to select the operation of the PC card automat-
ically appears. (If you want to cancel the initialization, select "No".)
Do not stop the engine until initialization of the PC card is complete.
