Professional edition migration
e. Click Next.
If you enter a Syslog port number already in use, a message displays. Click OK to close the message. Edit
the Syslog port number and click Next.
If you enter a port number already in use, a Warning displays beneath the associated port number field. Edit
that port number and click Next.
9. Verify your configuration information on the Server Configuration Summary screen and click Next.
10. Select the Start DCFM Pro Client check box, if necessary, on the Start Server screen.
Make sure that the Administrative Tools - Services window is closed. If this window is open, the server may fail to
start.
11. Click Finish.
After all of the DCFM services are started, the Log In dialog box displays.
12. Enter your user name and password.
The defaults are Administrator and password, respectively. If you migrated from a previous release, your
username and password do not change.
13. Click Login.
14. Click OK on the Login Banner.
Requirements for migrating to Professional Plus or Enterprise
Before you migrate from Professional to Professional Plus or Enterprise, make sure the Professional edition services
are running:
1. Select Start > Programs > DCFM Pro 10.4.X > Server Management Console from the DCFM server.
2. Click the Services tab.
The tab lists the DCFM services.
3. Click Start, if necessary.
Migrating from Professional 10.4.X
NOTE
Remote migration is not supported for Professional to Professional Plus or Enterprise.
NOTE
Scheduled configuration settings (set in the Technical SupportSave dialog box) are not migrated from Professional
edition to Enterprise edition. You must reenter the scheduled configuration settings once migration is complete. For
step-by-step instructions, refer to "Scheduling technical support information collection" in the DCFM User Manual.
NOTE
When migrating to Professional Plus or Enterprise 10.4.X, an SMI Agent only option displays in Edition Page. If you
choose the SMI Agent only option during migration, when you open the DCFM client, a License dialog displays, where
you must enter a license key.
Use the following procedure to migrate from Professional edition software to Professional Plus or Enterprise trial or
full edition software.
