Carefully follow the instructions below. This will ensure safe installation. Minimum Wall and Ceiling Clearances (see Figure 7) A.

The flexible gas line must be the last item installed on the gas piping. See Installing Gas Piping to Fireplace Location, page 15.

Route blower electrical cord through side or rear access door of fireplace. Plug electrical cord into electrical outlet. 11. Carefully insert fireplace into cabinet mantel. Be careful not to scratch or damage hearth base, cabinet mantel, or any laminate trim on hearth base.

  • Page 16 INSTALLING Continued The installer must supply an external regulator. The external regulator will reduce incoming gas pressure. You must reduce incoming gas pressure to between 11 and 14 inches of water. If you do not reduce incoming gas pressure, heater regulator damage could occur.

Most building codes do not permit concealed gas connections. A flexible gas line is provided to allow accessibility from the fire- place.

Each log is marked with a number. These numbers will help you identify the log when installing.

    OPERATING FIREPLACE All Models INSPECTING BURNERS BLOWER OPERATION This fireplace has a three-prong, grounded electrical plug. This plug helps protect you against electrical shock. Only connect plug to a properly grounded, three-prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the grounding prong from this plug. Locate the blower switch by opening lower louver on fireplace.
  • Page 27 INSPECTING BURNERS Continued 103280 FRONT BURNER FLAME PATTERN Figure 34 shows correct front burner flame pattern. Figure 35 shows incorrect front burner flame pattern. The incorrect burner flame pattern shows yellow tipping at top of blue flame. WARNING ICON G 001 If front burner flame pattern shows yellow tipping, your fireplace could produce increased levels of carbon monoxide.
