Summarization of Contents

Pitching your tent/awning
Unroll tent and peg corners
Unroll the tent/awning and peg the four corners. Use a footprint for cleanliness and adjust pegging points as needed.
Prepare for inflation
Unzip doorways before inflating to allow air entry, preventing a vacuum effect for easier erection.
Inflate air tubes
Assemble pump, insert into rear valve (closed position). Inflate tubes to ~7psi, adjusting for weather conditions.
Forward tube inflation
Work forward, inflating each tube. Ensure doorways are unzipped to aid air entry and prevent vacuum.
Position frame and peg straps
Lift the unit once inflated so the frame pops into place. Peg out Storm Straps at least 1.5m from the unit.
Adjust tension and squareness
Zip open doorways shut. Adjust corner pegging points to ensure the unit is square and has sufficient tension.
Fit dust caps and peg remaining points
Fit dust caps and Velcro covers to valves. Peg out remaining points and all guy ropes.
Fit side door canopy pole
For Airtek Tourer 4, fit the fibreglass pole into the side door canopy.
Packing your tent/awning
Unpeg points and tie guy ropes
Unpeg all points and tie guy ropes. Leave corners and Storm Straps pegged. Remove side door canopy pole for Tourer 4.
Deflate tent/awning
Unscrew dust cap on valve, depress spring button to deflate tubes. Open doorways to allow air escape.
Unpeg remaining points and straps
Unpeg remaining corners and Storm Straps. Tie Storm Straps to prevent tangling.
Fold tent into sections
Fold front canopy back. Fold tent/awning into sections to create a long, thin rectangle. Check width against carry bag.
Roll tent towards valves
Roll the tent/awning towards the side with Speed Valves, squeezing out remaining air as you roll.
Secure rolled tent and bag
Secure the rolled tent with a tie. Place the bag upside down and roll the tent into it.
Zip and strap carry bag
Zip the carry bag up and secure the webbing straps on the bag.

IMPORTANT USER HINTS
Spares availability
Spares are available directly from Tent Spares Ltd for your Khyam awning.
Air Tubes and punctures
Punctures are rare due to reinforced casing. Overinflation can cause bursts; adjust pressure accordingly.
Pole durability and replacement
Poles are durable but breakages can occur. Replacements are supplied during the warranty period.
Performance in wind
Awnings perform well in wind when erected correctly. Pegging is key; increase air pressure to 8-9psi in strong winds.
Water resistance of awnings
Flysheet fabrics withstand 5000mm water. Seams may need manual sealing for water ingress or 'wicking'.
OTHER USEFUL POINTS TO BEAR IN MIND
Peg removal and pole care
Never pull pegs using poles or fabric. Use a peg puller to avoid damage and invalidating the guarantee.
Fabric fading and reproofing
Synthetic fabrics fade due to UV. Reproofing with UV protection agents like Nikwax Solar Proof extends life.
Condensation management
Condensation is caused by moisture. Ensure good ventilation and avoid storing wet items inside the awning.
Fire safety
Never cook inside the tent/awning as synthetic fabrics can melt or catch fire from flames or hot objects.
