Oil changes The transmission oil should be changed regularly to ensure a long engine life. Heat the engine for 5 minutes so that the oil picks up any sediment in the engine. NOTE In order to reach the correct engine oil temperature for measurement of the level, the engine must be allowed to completely cool, then heat it once more during some minutes to the normal operation temperature.
