State-of-the-art Denon Solutions for
Maximizing Content Quality
• Fully discrete, identical quality and power for all
7 channels (125 W x 7ch)
To faithfully reproduce the original surround sound, each of
the AVR-3311CI's 7 channels is equipped with the same
power amp of equal power. Since these power amps also use
discrete circuits configured with parts strictly selected for their
contribution to high sound quality, rather than with low-cost
integrated circuits (ICs), the surround sound playback is of
impeccably high quality.
• Featuring 3D pass-through technology
By connecting a 3D-compliant Blue-ray disc player and 3D-
compliant TV to the AVR-3311CI, you will have a 3D home
theater where you can enjoy high-definition sound and video
on a level you've never experienced before.
• S u p p o r t s H D M I 1 . 4 a w i t h 3 D, Au d i o R e t u r n
Channel, Deep Color, "x.v.Color " , Auto Lipsync
and HDMI control function
When you connect the AVR-3311CI to a T V with a single
HDMI cable, it supports Audio Return Channel (ARC)(*1) that
can play back the TV audio in surround sound. Until now, if
you wanted to enjoy surround sound from a TV, you needed
to use an optical digital cable or coaxial digital cable to bring
sound from the TV to the A/V receiver. The AVR-3311CI's ARC
feature, however, helps you keep cable connections neat and
out of the way as you build your home theater.
*1: The TV must also support ARC.
•Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit, D.D.S.C.-HD
- 32-bit floating point high precision DSP processor
- AL24 Processing Plus provides improved fidelity and clarity
- High-precision 24 bit/192 kHz D/A converters
• Clock jitter reduction on all digital inputs
• High-definition audio support, with Dolby TrueHD
and DTS-HD Master Audio, high resolution audio for-
mats found on many Blu-ray titles

• Audyssey DSX processing
Audyssey DSX extends 5.1-channel and 7.1-channel sound
sources to a wider and higher dimension. Featuring the latest
precision DSP processing algorithms, Audyssey DSX creates ad-
ditional front height or front width channels, for a dramatically
expanded front soundstage.
• High-bit I/P Converter and Scaler up to 1080p
- Multi cadence detection for SD and HD video signals
The AVR-3311CI uses a high-performance video scaler to convert
SD (standard definition) video to HD (high definition) quality.
• Minimum Signal Path for clear audio and video signal
The "simple and straight" design concept has been thoroughly
implemented in the signal paths to contribute to immaculately
clean audio and video playback. Signal paths are as short as
possible to keep signal degradation in the audio and video
circuitry to an absolute minimum
• Direct Mechanical Ground Construction, embody-
ing concepts for thorough vibration resistance
Vibration-resistant construction includes design features
such as securely mounting the power transformers, a source of
vibration. to the highly rigid bottom chassis. Direct mounting of
cast-iron feet to the radiator in near proximity to each other serves
to additonally suppress mutual vibration with the power trans-
formers and other sources of vibration. By controlling all aspecs
of component vibrations, the rigid chassis provides for greater
audio fidelity and freedom from vibration-induced extraneous
noise, on par of that normally associated with much more costly
separate components.
Connectivity & Future-ready Expandability
• 6 x HDMI in / 2 x HDMI out (Repeater)
• Selectable Dual HDMI outputs allowing for easy
switching between video projectors or flat panel HDTVs.
• Direct play for iPod and iPhone via USB
You can also listen to music files from your iPod by simply con-
necting it to the AVR-3311CI's front panel USB port with the USB
cable that came with the iPod. To start play, just press the iPod
