    • Resetting the alarm time Rotate the crown anticlockwise to advance the hands and clockwise to move them backwards. T urning the crown rapidly also increases the speed of the adjustment. T o stop the fast resetting motion, turn the crown slowly . By turning the crown slowly, the adjustment is carried out in steps of one minute.

    CHRONOGRAPH 1. Normal chronograph use START STOP RESET After having measured three minutes in chronograph mode, the 1/50th second hand stops at 0, but the chronograph continues to measure the time. The exact time is then displayed at the moment the chronograph is stopped by pressing button 2.

    MEASURING TIMES WITH HANDICAP The watch can be used to time events by attributing handicaps or fixed time supplements (up to a maximum of 59 seconds and 98 hundredths). Proceed as follows: • Pull the crown out to the second stop (position 2). Repeatedly press buttons to advance the second hand and 1/50th second hand to reach the required supplementary time.

    TACHYMETER* The tachymeter is used to measure the speed of an automobile. By knowing how many seconds it takes for the vehicle to travel one kilometre, the tachymeter can measure the approximate average speed in km/h during a journey (over a maximum measurable time of 60 seconds).

    RAPID DATE CORRECTION • Place the alarm control in the OFF position (3) • Pull the crown out one stop (1) The date can be changed rapidly by rotating the crown in a clockwise direction (Note) The watch changes the date between 00.00 hrs and 03.30 hrs. The date will not change if the alarm is set or adjusted during these hours.

  • Page 16 Temperature Do not leave the watch exposed to direct sunlight or temperature extremes for long periods of time. Long exposure, in fact, may adversely affect the operation of the watch and actually shorten battery life, causing it to gain or lose time and affect its other functions. Impact This watch can withstand normal everyday impacts and shocks and those normally imparted by non-contact sports such as golf and baseball.
  • Page 17 Pay special attention to avoiding contact with chemicals. The watch case and strap may discolour if they come into contact with mercury from a broken thermometer or other equipment. Keeping the watch clean Use an absorbent soft cloth to clean off any dirt or damp from the watch glass. Wearing the watch when the strap or back of the case is dirty can cause skin irritation.

    EINSTELLUNG DER UHRZEIT Ziehen Sie die Stellkrone bis zur zweiten Raststellung heraus. Der Sekundenzeiger • läuft nun umgehend auf Stellung 0 (falls dies nicht erfolgt, bewegen Sie ihn von Hand, indem Sie auf Knopf drücken). • Stellen Sie nun die Stunden und Minuten ein. Drehen Sie dazu die Stellkrone nach links, um die Zeiger vorwärts, oder nach rechts, um sie zurück laufen zu lassen.

  • Page 58 Temperatura Non lasciare l’orologio sotto i raggi diretti del sole o in luoghi estremamente caldi o estremamente freddi per un lungo periodo di tempo. Ciò potrebbe infatti creare degli inconvenienti al funzionamento dell’orologio ed accorciare la durata della batteria, provocando anche un rallentamento o un’accelerazione dell’orologio e conseguenze sulle altre funzioni.

La cassa dell’orologio e il cinturino possono scolorirsi se vengono a contatto con il mercurio di un termometro rotto o di altra provenienza. Tenere l’orologio pulito Strofinare con un panno soffice assorbente il terriccio e l’umidità dal vetro dell’orologio. Se l’orologio viene indossato quando il retro della cassa e la cinghia sono sporchi, questi possono provocare un irritazione cutanea in quanto a contatto diretto con la pelle.

    TAQUIMETRO* El taquímetro es el instrumento que mide la velocidad de un automóvil. Sabiendo cuántos segundos se demora el coche en recorrer un kilómetro, durante un viaje el taquímetro puede medir aproximadamente la velocidad media por hora (puede medir hasta un máximo de 60 segundos). Si el cronógrafo se hace partir simultáneamente como medidor y se lo detiene después de 1 kilómetro, la velocidad horaria media puede ser determinada según la posición del segundero.
