Install the complete driver before connecting the USB cable to the computer
Be sure to download all files (1/4, 2/4 etc) corresponding to the chosen operating system.
(webxp.exe, webxp.w02...)
Download ( Save to; ) all files to the same directory (Don't change the file names)
After downloading all files begin the installation by selecting the . EXE (webxp.exe)
After computer re-start; install the image editing software (ex:Photo Express )
Connect The USB cable to the Computer only after computer re-start
The "USB" device will be recognized and the computer will automatically search for the
driver. If and when the "Signature Logo" window appears, reply with OK so as to continue to
completion the installation .
The XP und Win2000 Drivers from the Internet don't contain the extra interface
software."Direct Scan". However, you can still use the scanner in the traditional manner. All
image editing software such as Photo Express are "twain" compatible and
you can call the scanner into operation from within these programs. (Scanners and Digital
cameras are "Twain" devices) The corresponding "twain" command varies from the different
image edting programs. Check the "Help"for assistance for "twain".
Once the image is scanned and saved you may do with it what you like. Ex. -print, fax or
email.
In the cases where the driver refuses to install: The problem may be, that through a previous
failed attempt the product name of the operating system was changed
This can be corrected by editing the "regedit" file
From the task bar select Start \ Run \ ( regedit ) type this file name then "OK"
Step through the different folders as outlined below
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version
Under "Current Version " selected the key is "product name"
change Microsoft Windows xxxx to Microsoft Windows XP

Installations-Hinweis: (Scan Express Serie mit USB Anschluss)
Installieren Sie zuerst den Treiber, bevor Sie den Scanner über das USB-Kabel mit dem PC
verbinden.
Klicken sie nach und nach auf alle Downloads . (webxp.exe, webxp.w02...)
Speichern Sie alle Daten unter dem gleichen Verzeichnis (ändern Sie die Datei Namen nicht)
Nach dem Download starten Sie die webxp.exe
Nach dem Neustart des Computers, installieren Sie das Programm Photo Express.
Schließen sie den Scanner an den USB- Port an.
Bei Erscheinen des Logo Test Fensters, setzen Sie die Installation bitte fort und stellen Sie
diese fertig.
Die XP und Win2000 Treiber aus dem Internet beinhalten nicht den Direct Scan. Jedoch
können Sie nach der Installation des Treibers
aus dem Internet, das Programm Photo Express installieren und von diesem Programm aus
den Scanner aufrufen und scannen. Danach können Sie das gescannte Bild drucken
(Kopierfunktion), faxen oder E-mailen.
Falls sie den Treiber nicht installieren können:
Möglicherweise ist der Produkt Name von Windows nicht richtig eingetragen.
