Allows tuning in 1-MHz steps
on the VFO frequency, or tun-
ing in 10 channel steps on the
memory channels.
Changes the Tone Squelch
mode.
Selects the transmitter power
output level.
Toggles the operating band
while operating on the VFO
mode.
In the Memory mode, activates
the "Memory Tune" function.
Switches the frequency control
among the VFO, Memory Sys-
tem, and Home channel.
Activates the Scanner.
Activates the Smart Search
feature.
Activates the Internet Connec-
tion Feature.
Press the appropriate button
briefly to recall the desired
"Hyper" memory.

Activates the Priority Channel
Scanning (Dual Watch fea-
ture).
Reverses the transmit and re-
ceive frequencies during split-
frequency operation.
Recalls the user assigned func-
tion (default: recalling the
Weather Broadcast Channel).
Enters the Set ("Menu") mode.
Transfers the VFO contents
into a Memory register.
Selects the scan mode.
Activates the ARTS feature.
Locks out the switches and
knobs (except the VOL, SQL
knobs and PTT switch).
Press and hold in one of these
buttons for 2 seconds to store
the current total configuration
of the radio into a special
"Hyper" memory bank.
