Troubleshooting

PROBLEM
Iron won't heat.
Water is leaking
out of the iron.
Iron won't steam.
Iron leaves spots
on clothing.
Wrinkles not removed.
Fabric/clothing scorched.
Twisted cord.

PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
• Is iron plugged in and the outlet working? Check outlet by plugging in a lamp.
• Has Temperature Control Dial been turned to a fabric setting?
• Is the Auto Shutoff Reset Button/Light illuminated? If not, push to reset.
• Do not overfill Water Tank.
• If steam ironing, is Adjustable Steam Switch in the STEAM position, has a temperature been
selected, and did iron have enough time to preheat? Allow iron to heat for 2 minutes before using.
• If dry ironing, make sure Adjustable Steam Switch is in the NO STEAM
• Check water level.
• Has iron had enough time to preheat? Allow iron to heat for 2 minutes before using.
• Is Adjustable Steam Switch in the STEAM position?
• ALWAYS empty Water Tank after using. Water left in tank may discolor clothing and soleplate.
• Choose correct temperature setting for your fabric. See Fabric Setting Chart and Garment Label

• Select a lower temperature setting. Allow iron to cool for 5 minutes before continuing.
• If cord becomes twisted, turn iron OFF and unplug. Let cool. Empty any water from iron. Hold
cord in the middle of entire length. Let plug and iron dangle freely until cord uncoils. This will
extend the life of your iron cord.
