MIDI Channel

The RP2000's MIDI channel is used for receiving incoming MIDI data only. The MIDI channel is access by pressing the
Utility button and scrolling to the left or the right until MIDIch is shown in the Display. Rotate the Data Wheel to
select the desired MIDI channel the RP2000 will respond to.The MIDI channel will be shown in the red Display.
Choices include 1 through 16, al (all), and of (off).
Bulk Dump
The Sysex Bulk Dump menu allows up loading of all the RP2000's Presets and Utility data to a sysex librarian, or MIDI
recording device.This is useful for making a backup copy of all your customized settings.The procedure for performing
a Bulk Dump is as follows:
1. Connect a MIDI cable from the RP2000's MIDI Out to the the MIDI In of a MIDI recording device.
2. Press the Utility button and scroll to the left or the right until blkdmp is shown in the Display.
3. Set the MIDI recording device to record.
4. Rotate the Data Wheel to begin the dump.The Display reads dmping until the dump is complete at which time the
Display will return to the blkdmp menu.
The Bulk Dump will send information on the MIDI channel defined in the MIDI Channel menu.

MIDI Preset Dump

The Sysex Preset Dump menu allows up loading of just the RP2000's Presets to a sysex librarian, or MIDI recording
device.This is useful for making a backup copy of your customized Presets, or loading your Presets into another
RP2000.The procedure for performing a Bulk Dump is as follows:
1. Connect a MIDI cable from the RP2000's MIDI Out to the the MIDI In of a MIDI recording device.
2. Press the Utility button and scroll to the left or the right until U1 dmp is shown in the Display.
3.With the number between U and dmp blinking, rotate the Data Wheel to select the User Preset number you wish to
dump.
4. Press the Rhythm button once.Two dashes -- in the red display begin to blink.
5. Set the MIDI recording device to record.
6. Rotate the Data Wheel to begin the dump.The Display reads dmping until the dump is complete at which time the
Display will return to the u1 dmp menu.
The Preset Dump will send information on the MIDI channel defined in the MIDI Channel menu.

MIDI Mapping

The MIDI Mapping in the RP2000 allows any of the Factory, or User Preset to be accessed from external MIDI pro-
gram changes which may not necessarily correspond to the desired RP2000 Preset.This is useful when multiple MIDI
devices are chained together and are all controlled by one central unit. For example, the main MIDI controller can send
out a program change command telling a particular MIDI unit to change to Program 10, but you may want the RP2000
to change to User Preset 27.You can remap the RP2000 so when it receives MIDI Program change 10, it calls up User
Preset 27. The Procedure for mapping MIDI program changes is as follows:
1. Press the Utility button and scroll to the left or right until the display shows m
program 1 will access the RP2000's User Preset 1).The M
2. Rotate the Data Wheel to select the desired incoming program number.
3 Press the Rhythm button once and U 1 begins to blink (this is the RP2000's internal Preset).
4. Rotate the Data Wheel to select the desired Factory or User Preset which will be recalled when the selected MIDI
program number (to the left) is received.
