  • Page 4 Ball Joint Installation 1. Chock and jack up the vehicle. For best results, secure a raised vehicle with one or more jack stands or other appropriate supporting equipment. 2. Use a wire brush (not included) to clean the control arm and lubricate its inside with high- quality anti-corrosive oil.

    U-Joint Servicing 1. Remove any internal and external lock rings. 2. Assemble the ball joint press by screwing the jackscrew into the C-frame. 3. Position the press around the drive shaft yoke according to Fig. 4 and tighten the jack screw until the first bearing is removed.
