Using Your LiteGait® Harness Application Step 1 The first time you put the harness on your dog, it's easier to separate the front half from the Hip Lift portion. The more you use it, the easier it is to put on.

Using Your LiteGait® Harness Application (continued) Step 10 The pelvic pad should fit right between your dog's rear legs. You may have to make a few adjustments to position it by fastening and unfastening the two trailing straps in order get it perfectly positioned. The pelvic pad is optional and can be removed if your male dog is still intact as it may cause fitting issues.
Connecting Harness to LiteGait® Step 1 Position the patient under the LiteGait V unit. This can be done by moving the unit over the patient or moving the patient under the unit. The patient can be oriented with facing either into or away from the body of the device.
Training with LiteGait® Over Treadmill 1. The yoke height should be adjusted so that the top is approximately 5 inches above the patient’s head when standing on the treadmill, so that the hardware hanging from the yoke is just out of the reach of patient’s head.

Training with LiteGait® Over Ground 1. Adjust the yoke height so that it is approximately 5 inches above the patient’s head when standing on four limbs. Or, lower the yoke so that it is approximately 5 inches above the patient’s head when lying on the floor.

The Directional Locking Casters are labeled with a green STEER sticker and misaligned engage when the caster is aligned with the leg of the base. If the LiteGait® does not move forward and backward when the directional locking casters are locked they are not aligned properly. Contact Service & Parts Department for further repair instruction.
