    [4] OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTIONS MX3501N Service Manual 1. Document size detection Size detection on the document tray The document size is detected by the DSPF document width sensor (SPWS), and the document length is detected by the DSPF document length sensors (SPLS1, SPLS2). The document size is judged from the document width and the document length as shown in the table below. When, however, documents of different sizes are mixed and set on the document tray, the largest size is detected.
