They can mow pastures, cut brush up to 3" (GR60) and 4" (GR72) in diameter, and control grass and weeds on highways or industrial sites. For Non-Agricultural use, OSHA, ASAE, SAE, and ANSI standards require the use of Chain Guards or Solid Skirts at all times.

    The power required to operate a mower is determined by the tractor PTO horsepower. For most mowing conditions, the GR60/72 mower requires at tractor with at least 30 and 40 HP, respectively. Operating the mower with a tractor that does not have adequate power may damage the tractor engine. Exceeding 90 HP may cause mower damage by overpowering the unit in heavy cutting conditions.

    If the Gearbox suddenly starts making an unusual noise, stop at once, check for leaks, and refill Gearbox as required. Recommended lubricant for GR60 is NLGI-000 (P/N 00765444) (Mnt-0001). Gearbox capacity is 4 Quarts. Required lubricant for GR72 is a SAE 85W140T (PN 00769031).

    Slip Clutch - GR60 A slip clutch is incorporated in the PTO driveline. It is designed to slip, absorb the shock load, and protect the driveline. There are two types of clutches furnished. (1) A clutch with 8 coil springs and (2) A clutch with a single disc spring with 6 adjusting nuts.
