The DCU 220 is equipped with two storage batteries. The storage batteries are the internal power source of the DCU 220. They can be recharged via the power supply unit. CAUTION: Always keep both storage batteries installed, especially when the computer is running on battery power.
To charge the storage battery, connect the power supply unit to the DCU 220 and a mains socket. The battery charge indicator ( ) on the DCU 220 lights up yellow to indicate the charging process.
There is an energy indicator on the outside of the storage battery which shows the estimated battery charge. If the storage battery is not installed in the DCU 220 and you want to know the battery charge, you can use the push button to check the number of LEDs that light up.
Windows displays a notification by default; the DCU 220 enters sleep mode. If the battery state is low, the DCU 220 battery charge indicator ( ) also flashes red, prompting you to take action. Always react when the battery charge is low by activating sleep mode on the DCU 220, switching off the DCU 220 or connecting the power supply unit.
Connecting a USB device DCU 220 has two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for connecting USB devices, such as a digital camera, scanner, printer, and mouse. USB 3.2 Gen 2 supports a transfer rate up to 10 Gbit/s.
