TO CHANGE ZONE
1. The ABC selector must be on "B" or
"C"
2. Press "ZONE" (the zone indicator will
start flashing
3. Press left or right (◄►) arrows to
navigate in the zone menu.
4. Once the desired zone is identified on
screen, press the "HOME" button.
5. The desired zone should appear on
the screen.
TO CHANGE TALKGROUP
1. Find the desired zone (see above to
select zone).
2. Turn the "TALKGROUP SELECTOR"
knob until the desired talkgroup
appears on the screen.
TO SET MS1 AND MS2
1. Chose the desired talkgroup on the
screen to be present (see above to
select talkgroup).
2. Press "MS1" or "MS2" for a few
seconds until you hear a tone.
3. Two different talkgroups can be pre-
set in the radio by this method.
XTS 2500
MUTUAL AID TALKGROUP
You must request a mutual aid
1.
Talkgroup through your PSAP.
2. PSAP will assign you a mutual aid
Talkgroup.
3. Advise PSAP when you are
transferring to and from the Mutual aid
Talkgroup
4. Once finished, return to your
operational Talkgroup
5. If you are the one that requested the
mutual aid Talkgroup, you must release
it through your PSAP when finished
EMERGENCY ALERT
1. Press and hold the "Emergency"
button for 2.5 seconds to activate an
emergency alert.
2. After you hear the emergency alert
tone, you will have an open mic for 20
seconds.
3. Your message will be heard by your
local PSAP and the talkgroup your radio
is programmed on.
4. After the 20 seconds, you must press
"PTT" on the radio to communicate.
5. When the emergency is terminated,
you must reset the radio by pressing
and holding the "Emergency" button
again for 2.5 seconds.
