Thisunitwill provide DC power filteredthrough thebattery. T heprovided DC current a llows operation of the
plane'savionic electronics on thegroundwithout draining the plane'sbattery.

Proper Connection sequence:
Positionthe voltageselectionswitchon the front of the unit to the Gel/AGMposition regardless of
battery type. This setting is best suited for airplane battery types.
Plane's Master Power switch is OFF
Plane's Master Avionics power switch OFF
Connectthe powersupplyAPUpluginto the plane'sexternalpower receptacle
Plugthe power supply into the AC power/wall outlet
Turn the power supply ON
Turn Plane'sAvionicspowerswitch ON.TheAmberEqualizer L EDon the unit's faceplatewill illuminate
andthe Fanwill beginto run. Unit issupplyingpower.
Dependingon-theolane'selectricäidéstgn, y ou måVhaveto turn the plane'sMasterpower
switch
ON
If the Equalizer LED on PowerSupply doesnot illuminate Amber,the unit hasnotbegunto provideelectrical
current. Youmay need to try different combination of the Plane'sMaster and Avionics power switches.
Consultyour plane's operating manual regarding external power receptacle.
Battery Charger:
Thisautomatic charger c anremainconnected to the batteryfor prolonged periods. W henthe batteryisfully
,
charged
thecharger w illswitch to andholda maintenance floatvoltage to properly maintain thebattery
between uses/flights (alternator charging).
Charging requires connection to the battery'spostsusing batteryclipadapter.Useof theexternal p ower
receptaclerequiresfor the masterpowerswitchto be on andyouwould not leaveyour planein this modefor
longterm battery charging / maintenance. ( Optionallongerbattery connectorsare availablefor a more
convenientquickconnectplacementfor charging/maintenance, pleasecontactSchauerChargers for options.)
Caution! ConnectbatteryClipsto battery post/ busbar before turning chargerOn.PracticeCaution!not to
touchPositive andNegative batteryclipstogether;this maycause the protectionoutputfuseon thebattery
clipsadapterand/or insidethe unit to blow/open and/or damagethe maincircuit boardof the unit.
Selectthe Gel/AGMchargevoltagepositionfor airplanebattery
Connectbatteryclipsto battery postwith correctpolarity - Redto Positive, B lackto Negative
Plug the charger into AC power / wall outlet
Turn Charger on
(12 volt, 25 Amp)
(24 volt, 20 Amp)
