Air Purification Solution (APS) for T1 Series

Kit 401687
A Merv-7 filter is required to ensure proper efficacy of the air purification device over the course
of the product life. Please contact your Thermo King representative to identify the applicable
part number for your application.
N N o o t t e e : : HVAC units equipped with a keypad will require the optional mounting brackets 940206
and 940207 (sold separately) to relocate the keypad in front of the APS assembly.
7/16" socket, 3" extension and ratchet

Laptop with CANDiag kit (Flash load firmware version 4.02.05 or later into main module is required.)
Installation Overview
It is recommended that the entire instructions be read before starting the installation
procedures.
A A P P S S I I n n s s t t a a l l l l a a t t i i o o n n – APS assembly installs directly onto the TK HVAC evaporator.
U U n n i i t t M M o o d d i i f f i i c c a a t t i i o o n n s s – Some T1 units such as T1–M127 and M158 may require refrigerant gauge
sets and HMI HVAC controls be relocated if they interfere with APS installation. HVAC units
equipped with a keypad will require the optional mounting brackets. See note above.
E E l l e e c c t t r r i i c c a a l l C C o o n n n n e e c c t t i i o o n n s s – APS interface harness connects to the IntelligAIRE II controller, to a
bus battery positive (+24VDC), and to a chassis ground (-) source. Basic APS wiring is shown on
page 14. More detailed wiring schematics can be found in the unit maintenance manual.
S S y y s s t t e e m m P P r r o o g g r r a a m m m m i i n n g g – After the APS is installed, the IntelligAIRE II controller will need to be
programmed to operate the system.
