ASSEMBLY AND OPERATING CHECKING THE BATTERY CHARGER STATUS The level of charge remaining in the battery can be checked by using the battery LED power indicator that is contained on the end of the battery. NOTE: The battery charge remaining may be checked while the battery is installed in the tool with the ON/OFF switch turned OFF.

LOCK-OFF AND TRIGGER SWITCHES The grass trimmer is equipped with both a lock-o and trigger switch. To turn the grass trimmer ON: 1. Press the lock-o switch (1) (Fig.11). 2. While continuing to press the lock-o switch, squeeze the trigger switch (2). 3.

NOTE: There may be shrink wrap holding the trimmer line in place on the replacement spool. This must be removed, but be sure to hold the line in place with your fingers to prevent it from unwinding from the spool.

MANUALLY INSTALLING AND WINDING NEW LINE ON SPOOL 1. Remove all packaging from the replacement spool. NOTE: There may be shrink wrap holding the trimmer line in place on the replacement spool, This must be removed, but be sure to hold the line in place with your fingers to prevent it from unwinding from the spool.

Always use two hands while operating the trimmer. Use one hand on the main handle to operate the switches and the other on the assist handle. Use a semi-circular sweeping motion, with the trimmer head tilted slightly downward where the trimmer line is cutting the grass. Move the trimmer from right to left, feeding it into the uncut grass on the left side.
