After you’ve used the remote and the menu to open the screen for a selected media type, use the media menus to make choices about how to sort, select, and play the media files.

Select this key if your menu language is something other than English but you want to enter English characters in your search. Services are regularly added and updated, so be sure to visit the Internet screen often to see new services. Select Internet from the home screen or the menu. The Internet screen displays the names of Internet media services to which your media player has links.

    5. Managing Devices 5. Managing Devices When you use a FreeAgent Go™ drive with the media player, you can view your searchable media files from any media screen (Movies, Pictures, or Music). If you use another external device, the only way to view the media files stored on it is via the Devices screen. The Devices feature allows you to access all external devices connected to the media player and browse through the media files stored on them in the traditional file/folder view as they’re stored on your drive.

    Check for Software Update • Change Seagate Advisor Setting • Register My Product (Seagate and Maxtor drives only) Adjusting the Power Setting You can choose how long your drive should remain inactive before it goes into power-saving mode. Power-saving mode conserves energy by telling your drive’s internal storage disk to stop spinning when it’s not in use.
