Carefully remove the factory stereo and display out of the dash cavity with the proper tools.
Connect supplied display harness cable (GVMF) to the factory display Locate the BLUE display port on the rear of the stereo display. If the port is empty, plug the supplied video cable (GVMF) into the port and leave the female portion of the cable with nothing attached. If you see a factory cable (typically blue) plugged in, disconnect it from the port.
Ensure to connect the GVMF video cable to the back of the factory display, and not to the back of the stereo. If you will connect the GVMF cable to the back of the stereo, the VLine will not show up on the screen! Warning: Do not pinch or hard bend the GVMF video cable, as it will affect the video signal.

2.2 Functions The GROM VLINE emulates the factory USB mode of the stereo. No factory functions of the stereo will be disabled except factory USB mode. Factory Bluetooth, Navigation, Radio, and CD player will remain functional. Selecting the VLINE mode: Press the AUX-USB button to access the USB mode of the stereo to enter into VLINE interface mode (you may need to press it a few times).
