    wiring installation requires special technical skills and experience. If you do not feel comfortable doing the installation please consult with your local car audio shop or installation professional for instructions or assistance if necessary. Carefully remove the factory Stereo and Display out of the dash cavity with proper tools.
  • Page 5: Connect Supplied Display Harness Cable To Factory Display

    Connect the supplied VTOYA3 video cable to the factory LCD display Locate the 10-pin main display port on the rear of the stereo LCD display. Disconnect the factory display cable from the rear of the stereo LCD display. Then, plug in the supplied VTOYA3 cable and reconnect the dis- connected car factory cable into the female plug of the provided VTOYA3 video cable.

    Connect the VLine Interface MCFTOY1 +LEXTOYF cable to the factory stereo Locate the 16-pin connector and unplug it. Plug in supplied MCFTOY1+LEXTOYF Interface power cable. Reconnect what was disconnected from the rear of the stereo back into the female plug of the supplied interface cable.

    Routing the GPS Antenna The GPS Antenna module is supplied with double sided tape. It can be mounted to the top of dashboard or to outside of vehicle whichever you prefer. Route to desired location. We recommend mounting on inside of vehicle on passenger side of the Dashboard as shown below.

    Routing the microphone Route the microphone to a location where it will be able to pick up the voice clearly. We recommend mounting the microphone near the rearview mirror but not directly on the windshield glass. Avoid sticking it to a hard surface, as it will pick up more noise.

    Testing the VLine operation Test VLine operation before fully mounting the LCD display, stereo and dash- board. WARNING: Make sure to reconnect all unplugged connectors, except external CD changer, back to the vehicle before cycling the ignition. Cycle the ignition and enter the external CD mode of your stereo. Press CD / Disc button a few times until in VLine mode.

    CHAPTER 2 — GETTING STARTED 2.1 Initializing After connecting the VLine module to the stereo, an Ignition Cycle will have to be performed for the stereo to discover Vline and allow Vline to self configure. To INITIALIZE: 1. Put Ignition Switch to “ACC” or “ON” position 2.

    Using External Keyboard or Mouse You can attach external USB mouse or keyboard to any USB ports of VLine, for easier operation, when you need to type-in password, or apply firmware update. Adjusting Audio Bass, Treble, Balance/Fade for VLINE Mode - using Factory UI Use the Factory UI icon to get to the factory UI and adjust sound settings.
