Cannot use 3G/4G adapter

1. Please go to "3G/4G USB Adapter Support List" to see if router support user's 3G/4G USB Adapter 3G/4G USB Adapter Support List:https://www.asus.com/event/networks_3G4G_support/
2. Please make sure router has the newest firmware.
   
3. Please make sure settings of 3G/4G USB Adapter is correct

[Wireless] How to locate serial number for wireless products
The serial number is listed after the word "Serial Number," "SSN," "S/N," or "SN" and can be located with the methods shown below:

Router:

The modem does not connect to the xDSL line

Go to DSL modulation settings

1. Skip the setup wizard.
   
2. Manually set DSL modulation (choose DSL type as required by ISP)
   
3. set WAN port (enter data according to ISP requirement)
   

Computer cannot find wireless router

1. Check whether your computer has a wireless network adapter:
   • Windows logo key keyboard shortcuts in Windows. Press"Windows logo key " + "R key", and then open the Run dialog box, Key in devmgmt.msc, and then open the Device Manager.
   • Expand Network adapters.
   • Look for a network adapter that might have wireless in the name.
     
2. Check whether your wireless adapter can search for the wireless SSID nearby.
   Select the Network or Wireless icon in the notification area.
   If you have problems with your Wi-Fi network when using the Windows 10, please refer toFix Wi-Fiproblems in Windows 10(Microsoft support site) for more troubleshooting information.

3. Confirm the SSID and password you key in are correct
   1. Enter the GUI of router, click
   2. Check whether your wireless the SSID and password.

4. Check your router is NOT set toHide SSID
   1. Enter the GUI of router, go to [Wireless] >> [General]
   2. Check whether Hide SSID.

How to set up RT-AX86U with Singtel (ONT users only)
*Not applicable for Singtel ONR setup.
** Boot sequence: Turn OFF all the devices including modem, router and device. Wait for 10 minutes before switching on the device in this order: Modem -> Router ->Devices Fibre Plan Internet Setup Diagram for RT-AX86U and other ASUS routers.

The AC adapter sparks when plugged into the outlet

When I plug in the AC adapter into the outlet or extension cord, it might spark, and even the damage can be seen on the plug.

Root cause:
The spark is called as Arcing. When the plug is connected to the outlet, it might spark because the contact area is not enough and the electrical current comes.
So, you might observe tiny damaged traces on the plug. It is normal.
If the sparks are more serious or the outlet is discolored and deformed, please stop to use it.
It may be caused by the outlet is rusty or deformed, or affected by moisture, oxidation...etc. Please change the outlet or extension cord to ensure safety.

Solution: Please use a high-quality outlet or extension cord. If the contact area has been deformed or oxidized, please also change it.

How to check if the ASUS wireless router supports 2.5G for WAN/LAN port?

Can RJ45 be used for WAN/LAN with 2.5BaseT?
This port can be used as WAN or LAN and get max 2.5G speed.

What is Wi-Fi 6?

Wi-Fi 6E (802.11 AX)

GHz, which can provide up to 1,200 MHz. WiFi 6E comes with 7 160 MHz channels. Connecting to the 6 GHz frequency can bring greater bandwidth, faster speed and lower latency. It can be used for AR/VR, 8K streaming or higher-speed files, etc. Better experience and speed.
