    Using your System Commands and Confirmations Commands, Basic or Advanced, are used to activate system features and are performed by pressing one of the Command buttons. Basic Commands control the most often used security and remote start features while Advanced commands control more specialized features and request reports.

    Home Screen Overview The home screen provides valuable system information by displaying various icons. The map and table below identify each icon grouped by the corresponding display location.

    2-Way Basic Commands (Direct Access) Arm / Lock Press and release LOCK. The doors lock and the system is armed. Disarm / Unlock Press and release UNLOCK. The doors unlock and the system is disarmed. AUX / Trunk Press and hold AUX for 2.5 seconds. An optional auxiliary function, such as trunk release.
  • Page 14 AUX Menu The AUX Menu provides quick access to Auxiliary outputs. AUX outputs must be configured during installation. To Enter/Exit the AUX Menu, press and release the AUX button. By default, AUX 1-4 are displayed in this menu. These can be renamed or hidden in the Advanced Menu. LOCK and UNLOCK are used to navigate up and down through available AUX outputs.

    General Navigation The following example will describe the required button sequence to activate Valet mode. This is being shown to outline general navigation of the remote menus. While some menu pages and feature options will vary, these navigation tips will help get you started. To access the User Menu, hold the FUNCTION button for 2.5 seconds.
  • Page 17 Entering the Valet page will again identify your starting cursor position by a highlighted item. Pressing LOCK and UNLOCK will continue to navigate up and down through available menu items. With Valet Mode option (OFF) highlighted, press FUNCTION once to enter the Valet Mode options.
  • Page 18 When Valet is selected, press FUNCTION to save and transmit the command. When the command is received at the vehicle, a confirmation tone will play, and the cursor will exit the feature. The Valet text will now be displayed to identify the current system status. If the command fails to execute at the vehicle, the text will revert to OFF and error tone will play.
  • Page 19 User Menu The User Menu consists of nine pages, containing frequently accessed features, functions, and commands. These items are grouped together by type, with a corresponding page title for easy navigation. To access the User Menu from the home screen, hold FUCNTION for 2.5 seconds.     Advanced Menu The Advanced Menu consists of ten pages containing system features and settings. Items are grouped together by type, with a corresponding page title for easy navigation. This menu is intended for installers and experienced users. To access the Advanced Menu from the home screen, hold FUCNTION for 5 seconds (do not release the button at 2.5 seconds for User Menu) until the Advanced Menu is displayed.

    Press/Hold – Start The REMOTE START button is assigned default functions for both Press and Hold commands. These can be configured to the user’s preference. START PRESS: Reset Runtime, Start/Stop. START HOLD: Start/Stop, Reset Runtime. AUX Names The on-screen keyboard can be used to assign names for each AUX output.

    1-Way Remote Control Configuration The 1-Way companion remote control has operations that can be configured to a user’s personal preferences. The following instruction directs you through the available programming options. Remote Features To Enter Programming: Press and hold the FUNCTION button for eight seconds until the transmit LED turns on, then release the button.

    Keypad Lock (Quick Toggle) In addition to turning ‘Keypad Lock’ ON/OFF in the ‘Remote Control Configuration’ menu, you can also do so using the “Quick Toggle” method without needing to enter the menu. To toggle ‘Keypad Lock’ feature ON/OFF: Press and Hold LOCK and UNLOCK simultaneously for 5-seconds. 1-Beep indicates ON.

    Car 2 Options: OFF, ON ON: The remote control can operate two systems independently. OFF: The Car Select feature is not available. When set to ON the Car Select feature is enabled. See “Car Select” section of this guide for details on using a remote with two systems.
  • Page 33 Full Silent Arm Protection Sensor Warn Away, Sensor Full Trigger and point of entry activations will only send messages to the remote, with parking light flash and siren outputs defeated. Sensor Warn Away When the system sensors detect a Warn Away trigger the siren chirps and parking lights flash for three seconds.

    Alarm Report If the alarm was triggered while armed, it will be reported when the system is disarmed. The siren chirps four times (or five times if NPC ON), the parking lights flash three times, and the control center LED flashes in groups to indicate the last two zones that were triggered (see Table of Zones).

    Auto Re-arming* Auto re-arm ensures the vehicle stays protected if it is not entered after disarming by remote control. After disarming by remote, the alarm automatically re-arms itself (and locks the doors if programmed on) in 30 seconds. Open any point of entry to stop the re-arm until the next disarm by remote.

    Valet Mode Valet mode can be entered and exited by performing the Remote Valet command or manually using the vehicle key and the Control Center button. When entered, the alarm functions are disabled while the convenience features still operate normally. Arm and Disarm commands lock and unlock the doors.

    Remote Start Features Key Takeover While remote started, ‘Key Takeover’ must be completed to keep the engine running while the vehicle transitions from Remote start to normal Key operation. To perform Key Takeover: Disarm the system and enter the vehicle (Do not step on the foot brake).

    Timer Start Operation Activation begins a countdown timer as set by the installer (default three hours). When the timer expires the engine starts and the Remote Start ON message is sent to the remote control. When the Remote start runtime expires the engine shuts off, the Remote Start OFF message is sent to the remote control and the countdown timer restarts.
  • Page 39 To perform Pit Stop: With the engine running, and vehicle in PARK. Set the parking brake. Do not press the foot brake at any time. Press the REMOTE START button. The parking lights will turn on and the 2-Way Remote will confirm Pit Stop is active. Turn the ignition OFF.

    Turbo Timer Mode ‘Turbo Timer Mode’ keeps the engine running for a short duration when the ignition is turned OFF. This function can be activated by remote control or optional dash mounted activation button. To activate Turbo Timer: With the engine running, set the parking brake. Press the optional dash mounted activation button or perform the Timer Mode command.

    System Features System Power Save To reduce power consumption the Control Center status LED modifies its output if the vehicle is parked for an extended period. If Armed the flashing is reduced after 24 hours. When Valet Mode is ON, the LED turns off after one hour and resets each time the ignition is turned off.

    Car Select Car 2 remote control option must first be turned ON. 2-Way Remote: Press and hold the FUNCTION button to enter the User Menu. Press FUNCTION one time to enter the page and highlight Car: Car 1 While highlighted, press and release FUNCTION to toggle between Car 1 and Car 2.
  • Page 43 Siren Output Duration* The length of time the siren sounds can be adjusted from 1 to 180 seconds at the time of installation. Arming and Warn Away Chirp Control* The system Arm, Disarm and Sensor Warn Away chirps can be configured for those that prefer a custom silent alarm operation.

We recommend the owner have the parking/emergency brake system inspected and adjusted by a qualified automotive shop biannually.

    Battery Information When the remote control battery begins to weaken, the operating range will be reduced. Battery Replacement: If communication range is diminished, or the remote control ceases to function, the remote battery should be replaced. It is recommended to have your battery replaced by an Authorized Dealer. To gain access to the battery, the rear case will need to be separated from the transmitter.
