  • Page 18 MOTOR BREAKDOWN For 3 speed models, Select the desired gear range by turning the gear selector either clockwise or counterclockwise into the desired gear. It will usually be necessary to turn the spindle by hand a little to get it to shift all the way.

    2. Insert 5 conduit adapters into the base unit. 3. If necessary, install axles and wheels onto base. 4. iTOOLco Cannon 12K is designed to be used with a 20 amp, 6 speed coring motor. 5. Plug in the foot switch to the 100 volt power supply.

    ATTACHING CONDUIT ADAPTERS Using the Universal Adapter Loosen the 1/2” (12.7 mm.) bolt (Fig.1) on either side of the front head. Slide the universal adapter in or out (Fig. 2) to accommodate the appropriate size of conduit. Make sure that the adapter engages the conduit.
  • Page 24 ATTACHING CONDUIT ADAPTERS Using the 2”- 4” Adapters (51 mm. - 102 mm.) Place the desired conduit adapter size into the top of the universal adapter. Slide the adapters toward the puller until the adapter is all the way back. (Fig. 4) FIG.

    UNDERGROUND WIRE PULL 1. Pivot front extension assembly as needed and reinsert pin. (Fig. 1) 2. Lift up the front end and place the conduit adapter into conduit. (Fig 2.) Always make sure the conduit adapter sits flush around the conduit you are pulling through. 3.
  • Page 26 UNDERGROUND WIRE PULL (CONT.) 8. Loosely wrap the rope around the appropriate capstan starting with two wraps about capstan. (Fig. 5) Start turning the capstan by stepping on the included footswitch. (Fig. 6) Continually add wraps to the capstan while maintaining tension on the rope. The goal is to match the speed of the capstan with the rope to turn at the same rate.

    OVERHEAD WIRE PULL 1. Convert the Cannon 12K to an overhead configuration by removing the adjustable bolt at the main knuckle. (Fig. 1) Pull the snap pin, and rotate the front end right or left to the desired position. (Fig. 2) 2.

    USE OF MAIN ROLLER When pulling with extensions in use always make sure the rope is engaging the main roller, failure to do so could result in bending the extensions and harm to you. NEVER BYPASS A ROLLER. Failure to do so could cause bending of the extension. Page 30...
