About SD Memory Card

SD Memory Card is a storage medium for saving images that you have photographed. Even if the camera's power
is turn OFF, the images saved on the SD Memory Card are not erased. SD Memory Card can be repeated read
and written.
SD Memory Card having the following storage capacity can be used on your camera:
8MB/16MB/32MB/64MB/128MB/256/512MB
It is recommended to use SD Memory Card produced by TOSHIBA.
This camera uses SD Memory Card version 1.01.
Notes on SD Memory Card
• Remove and insert SD Memory Card with the camera's power turned off.
• Recorded data may be erased (destroyed) in the situations listed below.
- When the SD Memory Card is used incorrectly by the user or a third party.
- When the SD Memory Card is exposed to static electricity or electrical noise.
- When the SD Memory Card is removed or the camera is then switched OFF during data recording,
data erasing, frame advance when images are being played back or during formatting of the SD
Memory Card.
• We recommend copying and saving important data onto another storage medium (floppy disk,
harddisk, MO disk, etc.).
• Never remove the SD Memory Card or switch the camera OFF during data recording or during data
erasing (SD Memory Card formatting). These actions might damage the SD Memory Card.
• Use only the SD Memory Card specified for use with the camera. The use of other SD Memory Card
could damage the camera.
• SD Memory Card are precision electronic devices. Do not bend, drop, or subject SD Memory Card to
excessive shocks. Also, do not carry SD Memory Card in locations such as a trouser pocket. This might
subject the SD Memory Card to excessive force when you sit down, damaging the SD Memory Card.
• Do not use or store SD Memory Card in environments likely to be affected by strong static electricity or
electrical noise.
• Do not use or store SD Memory Card in very hot, humid or corrosive environments.
• Take care not to touch the SD Memory Card's electrodes (metal contacts) or allow the electrodes to
become soiled. Use a dry lint-free cloth to wipe away any dirt.
• To avoid damage caused by static electricity during transportation or storage, always use the special
static-free case provided.
• If you are not using the camera for a long period of time, remove the SD Memory Card and store it in
a safe place.
