    4.3.10 Rechargeable accumulators and batteries imc SPARTAN devices contain maintenance-free lead-gel batteries. Charging these batteries is accomplished automatically when the activated device receives a supply voltage. Due to the inevitable leakage of charge we recommend that the device be activated for 6 to 9 hours at least every 3 months to prevent the batteries from dying.
