    4. Installation 4.1 General operating instructions • Switch the device on or off using the standby button on the device or the remote control. • You can use the VOL+ button on the remote control or turn the knob on the device to increase the volume.

    4. Installation 4.4 Power connection Connect the mains adapter supplied to the corresponding connection on the back of the appliance. Now plug the mains adapter into a 230 V socket. Switch on the radio using the standby button on the remote control or on the device. The device switches on.

    4. Installation 4.9 Local radio setup Select your continent and then your country to access the Internet radio broadcasts of your local stations. Use the pq buttons on the remote control to make a selection. Use the OK button on the remote control or press the button on the device to confirm.

    4. Installation 4.10 WiFi / network selection In the next step, all available WiFi networks within range of the device will be displayed. Select the network you want to connect to and confirm with the OK button. Enter the WiFi password. Use the pq buttons on the remote control or the rotary knob on the device to select a character and use the u button to skip forwards.

    5. Settings 5.1 General operation 5.1.1 Menu button Press and hold the menu button on the device or remote control. This always takes you back to the main menu, regardless of the current device settings. Use the t u buttons or the rotary knob on the device to navigate through the main menu.

Settings 5.1.2 Back button Press the „Back“ button to go back one step at a time. 5.1.3 List button If you press the „List“ button in radio mode, an overview of the radio stations you have previously listened to is displayed. 5.1.4 Mode button You can use the Mode button to switch between the various operating modes of the device.

    5. Settings 5.2.2 Date / Time Use the t u buttons on the remote control to make a selection. Use the OK button on the remote control or press the button on the device to con rm. The device is set at the factory so that the time is set automatically. If the device is connected to the Internet via the network, the time and date are synchronised automatically.

Set the time for the alarm clock in the next line. To do this, use the numeric keypad on the remote control or the rotary knob on the device.

    5. Settings 5.2.5 Recording timer You can edit a set recording timer in this menu. 5.2.6 Standby mode You can use this function to set the display in standby mode. Eco standby In this mode, the appliance consumes very little power in standby mode. The time is not displayed in this standby mode. The Soundmate app is not able to wake up the device in eco standby.

    5. Settings 5.2.7 Sleep-Timer You can use the sleep timer function to automatically switch the radio to standby mode. Here you can set the time period until the device switches off automatically. Use the pq buttons on the remote control or the rotary knob on the device to select the Sleep timer menu item and press the OK button on the remote control or the rotary knob on the device to con rm.

Settings 5.2.9 Bluetooth This setting allows you to con gure the Bluetooth connection mode and determine the available Bluetooth receiving devices so that you can use the radio as a media server for transmission functions. 5.2.10 Journaline setting This setting allows you to set the journaline text information for DAB+ reception. You can set the switch to ON or OFF to activate or deactivate the journaline text information for DAB+ reception.

    You can use the USB interface to update the operating software of your device, which is available on www.telestar.de if required. The software provided on the web- site must be unpacked. The unpacked le is then transferred to a suitable storage medium and connected to the device via the USB port.

Press the MENU button on the remote control or use the t u buttons on the device to select the DAB/DAB+ menu item.     6. Operation Similar to a video or DVD recorder, you can also make time-controlled recordings with the radio, e.g. to record radio programmes when you are not at home. To do this, press and hold the recording button on the device or on the remote control for longer than 2 seconds.

    4. Installatie 4.4 Stroomaansluiting Sluit de meegeleverde netadapter aan op de betreffende aansluiting aan de achterkant van het apparaat. Steek nu de netadapter in een 230 V stopcontact. Schakel de radio in met de standby-knop op de afstandsbediening of op het apparaat.

    4. Installatie 4.5 Datum- en tijdmodus Selecteer hier hoe de radio de tijd moet synchroniseren. Gebruik de pq toetsen op de afstandsbediening om een selectie te maken. Bevestig je keuze met de knop OK op de afstandsbediening of door op de knop op het apparaat te drukken. Het apparaat is in de fabriek zo ingesteld dat de tijd automatisch wordt ingesteld.

    4. Installatie 4.7 Zomertijd Schakel hier de zomertijd in als deze momenteel van kracht is. Gebruik de toetsen pq op de afstandsbediening om een selectie te maken. Bevestig met de toets OK op de afstandsbediening of druk op de toets op het apparaat. 4.8 Stand-bymodus Geef hier aan of de tijd moet worden weergegeven wanneer de radio in stand-by staat.

    4. Installatie 4.9 Lokale radio-instelling Selecteer je continent en vervolgens je land om toegang te krijgen tot de internetradio-uitzendingen van je lokale stations. Gebruik de toetsen pq op de afstandsbediening om een selectie te maken. Gebruik de knop OK op de afstandsbediening of druk op de knop op het apparaat om te bevestigen.

    4. Installatie 4.10 WiFi / Netwerk selecteren In de volgende stap worden alle beschikbare WiFi-netwerken binnen het bereik van het apparaat weergegeven. Selecteer het netwerk waarmee u verbinding wilt maken en bevestig met de knop OK. Voer het WIFI-wachtwoord in. Gebruik de pq-knoppen op de afstandsbediening of de draaiknop op het apparaat om een teken te selecteren en gebruik de u-knop om vooruit te gaan.

    5. Instellingen 5.1 Algemene werking 5.1.1 Menuknop Houd de menuknop op het apparaat of de afstandsbediening ingedrukt. Hiermee gaat u altijd terug naar het hoofdmenu, ongeacht de huidige instellingen van het apparaat. Gebruik de knoppen t u of de draaiknop op het apparaat om door het hoofdmenu te navigeren.

Instellingen 5.1.2 Terug-knop Druk op de „Terug“-knop om telkens een stap terug te gaan. 5.1.3 Lijst knop Als u in de radiomodus op de knop „Lijst“ drukt, wordt een overzicht weergegeven van de radiostations waarnaar u eerder hebt geluisterd. 5.1.4 Modusknop U kunt de modusknop gebruiken om te schakelen tussen de verschillende bedrijfs- modi van het apparaat.

Gebruik de OK-toets op de afstandsbediening of druk op de toets op het apparaat om te bevestigen. Het apparaat is in de fabriek zo ingesteld dat de tijd automatisch wordt ingesteld. Als het apparaat via het netwerk met internet is verbonden, worden de tijd en datum automatisch gesynchroniseerd.

    5. Instellingen 5.2.4 Alarm Het apparaat kan worden gebruikt als wekkerradio. Je kunt tot 5 wektijden instellen in dit menu. Ga als volgt te werk om een wekker in te stellen: • Druk op de knop MENU op de afstandsbediening of op het apparaat en selecteer de optie Systeem in het menu met de knoppen t u op de afstandsbediening of de draaiknop op het apparaat.

    5.2.15 Software-update U kunt de USB-interface gebruiken om de besturingssoftware van uw apparaat bij te werken, die indien nodig beschikbaar is op www.telestar.de.
