4. Installation 4.1 General operating instructions • Switch the device on or off using the standby button on the device or the remote control. • You can use the VOL+ button on the remote control or turn the knob on the device to increase the volume. -

4. Installation 4.4 Power connection Connect the mains adapter supplied to the corresponding connection on the back of the appliance. Now plug the mains adapter into a 230 V socket. Switch on the radio using the standby button on the remote control or on the device. The device switches on. -

4. Installation 4.9 Local radio setup Select your continent and then your country to access the Internet radio broadcasts of your local stations. Use the pq buttons on the remote control to make a selection. Use the OK button on the remote control or press the button on the device to confirm. -

5. Settings 5.1 General operation 5.1.1 Menu button Press and hold the menu button on the device or remote control. This always takes you back to the main menu, regardless of the current device settings. Use the t u buttons or the rotary knob on the device to navigate through the main menu. -

5. Settings 5.2.2 Date / Time Use the t u buttons on the remote control to make a selection. Use the OK button on the remote control or press the button on the device to confirm. 5. Settings 5.2.4 Alarm The device can be used as a radio alarm clock. You can set up to 5 alarm times in this menu item. Set the repetition intervals in the Mode line.

5. Settings 5.2.5 Recording timer You can edit a set recording timer in this menu. 5.2.6 Standby mode You can use this function to set the display in standby mode. The time is not displayed in this standby mode. The Soundmate app is not able to wake up the device in eco standby. Comfortable standby In this mode, the time in standby mode is displayed when you switch off the device using the standby button.

Settings 5.2.9 Bluetooth This setting allows you to configure the Bluetooth connection mode and determine the available Bluetooth receiving devices so that you can use the radio as a media server for transmission functions. 5.2.10 Journaline setting This setting allows you to set the journaline text information for DAB+ reception. You can set the switch to ON or OFF to activate or deactivate the journaline text information for DAB+ reception. -

5.2.15 Software update You can use the USB interface to update the operating software of your device, which is available on www.telestar.de if required. The software provided on the web- site must be unpacked. The unpacked file is then transferred to a suitable storage medium and connected to the device via the USB port. -

6. Operation 6.1 DAB+ Radio In this radio mode, you can receive digitally transmitted radio stations. Press the MENU button on the remote control or use the t u buttons on the device to select the DAB/DAB+ menu item. To confirm your selection, press the OK button on the remote control or the rotary knob on the device. - Page 31 6. The radio now automatically searches for all receivable digital radio stations and saves them in a station list. The number on the right-hand side indicates the number of radio stations found. After a successful search, the radio starts playing the first station found.

6. Operation 6.2 Selecting an Internet radio station Use the t u buttons to select Internet radio in the main menu and confirm with the OK button on the remote control or the OK button on the device. 6. Operation Podcasts Here you can choose from a range of radio podcasts. History This list shows the last 40 radio stations you selected. Search You can use this function to search for a specific radio station. 6.3 Searching for Internet radio stations Select the Search line and confirm by pressing the OK button on the device. Enter the name of the radio station in the search field using the remote control keypad. To do this, use the pqt u buttons. Confirm your entry by pressing OK. The radio will now search for all stations that match this entry. -

6. Operation Similar to a video or DVD recorder, you can also make time-controlled recordings with the radio, e.g. to record radio programmes when you are not at home. To do this, press and hold the recording button on the device or on the remote control for longer than 2 seconds. -
