Widex Sound Assist is a 'Swiss Army Knife' for your hearing aids that fits in the palm of your hand. It can be a partner or table microphone, handle hands-free calls, stream from digital and analogue sources, and even be a remote control to adjust your hearing aid settings.
Widex Sound Assist must be paired with your hearing aids before you can pair it with other devices such as a smartphone or PC. Widex Sound Assist can be paired with up to eight Bluetooth devices and actively connected to one Bluetooth device.
Changing the operating mode
Widex Sound Assist has three operating modes: Remote Microphone, Bluetooth and Telecoil. When the device is turned on, press the power/mode button briefly to toggle between the device modes.
Wearing Widex Sound Assist
Widex Sound Assist can be carried using the integrated metal clip. It can be attached directly on to the garment or the neck loop.
Partner microphone
When a single speaker is wearing the Widex Sound Assist, the device automatically streams the voice of the person you're talking with to the hearing aid.
In Bluetooth mode, Widex Sound Assist can be used for hands-free phone calls and audio streaming from a connected Bluetooth device to your hearing aid.
When not used for streaming, Widex Sound Assist can be used as a remote control for your hearing aids if you want to change program or adjust the volume. To use your Widex Sound Assist for this, first select Bluetooth mode.
While streaming in any Widex Sound Assist mode, it is possible to shut out external sounds that may distract you by activating Room Off.
Widex Sound Assist has a built-in Telecoil, enabling Telecoil streaming with just one click.
In Bluetooth mode, you can activate the Voice Assistant on any connected device.
Charging is simple. Just use the included micro USB cable to plug your Widex Sound Assist into the power supply. After 3 hours, your Widex Sound Assist will be fully charged.
