They provide full duplex two-way communications and easily connect into existing local area networks (LANs) with a single cable connection.

    Installation Follow all appropriate electrical codes and use only approved electrical fittings for the installation. NOTE: The VoIP PCBA is susceptible to damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and is protected by a metal shield. If it is necessary to remove the shield, take suitable precautions. Determine whether power to operate the telephone will be provided via the Ethernet, if external power will be required, or both will be applied.

    Operation Dialing FT300A-V and FT350A-V VoIP telephones may be set up for either keypad dialing or auto-dialing. If the telephone is configured for keypad, dialing operation is identical to most other single line telephones. Lift the handset off the cradle, confirm dial-tone is heard, and then dial the desired number. A ring or busy signal should be heard, depending on the state of the receiving telephone.

    Functional Features This section provides additional technical details if there is a requirement to use some of the extra features of the VoIP controller. RTFM – Reset Test Function Management Switch A small mechanical button switch is located on the VoIP Controller, allowing the user to easily obtain the phone IP address if not accessible through the web interface.

    Opto-Input Tagging The Inputs can be names (tagged) in the telephone web Interface. Optically Isolated Outputs There are four optically isolated outputs which act as transistor switches that can be used to trigger external devices or monitoring hardware. Of the four outputs, two are fixed function and two are user-configurable. The phone will issue an XML-coded message for input into an alternate monitoring device.
