SETUP AND INFLATION
- Get started by registering your board with the manufacturer by visiting registermyboard.com.
![]()
Your board comes with a clear dry pouch to store valuables while on the water. The manufacturer will not be held liable for valuables that are lost or damaged while using this item for any reason whatsoever. - Open the box and unroll the board.
- To inflate, unscrew the valve cap from the valve, located on the tail of the board. The valve has two positions. The valve must be in inflation position to inflate, meaning that air can only move through the valve in one direction, into the board.
When the valve stem is in inflation position, the valve stem will stick up a little higher than in the deflate / two-way position. Push down on the valve stem once to switch between positions.

- Connect the pump hose to the pump, making sure the connection is secure.
![]()
- Plug the power adaptor into a 12-volt outlet. (Depending on your make / model, the car may have to be running for the outlet to work).
- Connect the pump hose to the board. The valve stem should be up in the inflation position. Always make sure there is no sand or dirt in the end of your hose before connecting it to the valve on the board. Sand and dirt can cause the valve to stick or clog causing the board to lose air. If the pump does not seem to be inflating, check the hose connection with the pump handle or valve.
![]()
- Press the unit toggle button (PSI / BAR) until you reach your desired unit. Set your desired pressure (15 PSI / 1 BAR) before inflating. Press the pressure up / down buttons (+/ -) until you get to your desired inflation pressure. Press the power button to turn on. The pump will now start to operate. Make sure the pump is in an open space and not in a tight area with little air flow. The board will take shape before registering a pressure. After a few minutes of inflation, the pump will become louder as it automatically switches to high pressure mode. No adjustments need to be made.
![]()
- Once the board has reached the preset pressure, the pump will automatically stop. Unplug the pump from the outlet and remove the hose from the pump. Store the pump and hose in the included mesh bag and store away.

- Install the fin. From the front of the fin box, slide the fin until it has gone in all the way. Secure the fin by sliding the attached safety clip through the aligned holes in the fin and fin box. The safety clip will click when secured.
NOTE: If the safety clip holes do not line up between the fin and fin box when the fin is fully inserted, it likely means the fin has been installed backwards. Make sure to reinsert the correct way forward.
![Body Glove - PERFORMER - SETUP AND INFLATION - Step 2 SETUP AND INFLATION - Step 2]()
- Assemble the paddle. Pull adjustment lock up to adjust the paddle to the desired length on the paddle shaft that contains user height and corresponding length options. Push adjustment lock back down to lock in place. Ensure that the pins of the paddle clip are fully engaged before using.
NOTE: Adjusting the height on the paddle on shore is always best. The clip needs only to be pulled up about 0.64 cm (0.25 in) to adjust. Completely removing the clip may cause damage to the clip and the paddle and can lead to the clip falling in the water and sinking.
![Body Glove - PERFORMER - SETUP AND INFLATION - Step 3 SETUP AND INFLATION - Step 3]()
- Unfasten the three layers of hook and loop at the end of the leash holding the string and remove it from the leash. Tie a slipknot around the D-ring on the tail of the board next to the inflation valve. Reattach the hook and loop on the leash through the slipknot of the string. Ensure that the hook and loop is properly fastened.
![Body Glove - PERFORMER - SETUP AND INFLATION - Step 4 SETUP AND INFLATION - Step 4]()
- It is recommended that you wear a Coast Guard approved personal flotation device (PFD). A PFD is a requirement in most jurisdictions.
NOTE: Steps 13 – 15 explain how to attach two boards side by side using the Connect System. If you are not using the Connect System, proceed to STEP 16. - (OPTIONAL): Near the water' s edge, lay two boards side by side and line them up so that the midpoint of each board is aligned.
![]()
- (OPTIONAL): Take one of the Connect straps and wrap ONE loop around one of the paddle boards and snap the buckle in place. Take the other loop and wrap it around your other board at the same point. Repeat with the other Connect strap. Ensure all straps and buckles are facing up and they are not tangled in any way.
![]()
- (OPTIONAL): Look at both paddle boards and make sure they are aligned. If they are the same model board, the tail and nose of each board should be neither behind or ahead of the other board. Tighten all four loops until firm and launch your connected boards in the water.
NOTE: If the Connect System straps are not properly placed on each paddle board AND the loops are not tight, the system will not work as intended. On certain Body Glove models, there are arrows that show where the Connect straps should go. If one or both of your boards do not have these placement guides, place the Connect straps about 2 ft (61 cm) forward and back from the center point of each board.

- Inspect the environment for safe paddling conditions.
DEFLATION & PACKING
- Rinse off any sand or debris before storing the board, paddle, and accessories in the included storage backpack.
- Remove the fin. Push down on the latch of the safety clip and slide out of its place. Then slide the fin out of the fin box.
- Unscrew the valve cap and push the center of the valve stem to switch the valve back to two-way air flow. Air will now come out of the board rapidly.
![Body Glove - PERFORMER - DEFLATION & PACKING - Step 1 DEFLATION & PACKING - Step 1]()
With the valve in the deflation position, roll the board from nose to tail, forcing the air out of the board. Be sure to roll the board with the traction pad on the inside. Replace the valve cap once the rolling is complete and turn clockwise to tighten.
![Body Glove - PERFORMER - DEFLATION & PACKING - Step 2 DEFLATION & PACKING - Step 2]()
- Disassemble the paddle, separating all three pieces. The paddle can either be placed inside the board while it is being rolled, or be placed next to the board in the backpack.
![Body Glove - PERFORMER - DEFLATION & PACKING - Step 3 DEFLATION & PACKING - Step 3]()
- Store your paddle next to your board in the bag or roll the board.

FAQ – INFLATION / DEFLATION
![]()
How does the valve work?
The valve has two positions. The first is two-way which is for deflation only. The second is one-way which is for inflation only. To switch between positions, push the center of the valve stem down once. To switch again, push the center of the valve stem once more.
I just pumped my board and removed the hose, but now air is flowing out of my board. What do I do?
Push the center of the valve stem once to switch the valve from two-way to oneway position. This makes it so that the air goes in and stays in. Once the valve is in the one-way position, you will need to repeat pumping to achieve target pressure.
FAQ – PUMP
![]()
When I pump up the board the hose leaks. What should I do?
Check the threaded connection of the pump hose where the hose connects to the pump handle. Make sure the connection is screwed on properly and is not cross threaded. Inspect for any holes in the pump hose. If holes or cracks are found, contact our customer service.
My pump has stopped working. What should I do?
Make sure your pump is properly plugged in to the power source and that it is still receiving power. If you continue to experience problems, reach out to our customer service team: 1-866-696-9257 / customerservice@surf9.com
FAQ – FINS
![]()
I lost the fin protectors. How do I get replacements?
The fin protectors provided were for shipping from the factory to the customer. Fin protectors are not needed for storage.
Why isn't the fin permanent?
A permanent fin would make the board more difficult to transport. This also gives the user the opportunity to try out different fin shapes.
Note there are multiple fin box systems on the market.
Can I add a fin to the board?
Adding a fin to the board is not needed for flatwater use or surfing. Adding a fin voids the warranty.
FAQ – USE ON RIVERS
Will rocks hurt the board?
Bumping into / scraping over rocks will not typically damage your inflatable board; however, continuous scraping over time could lead to degradation and potential damage.
Can I use my board on a river and in rapids?
This board is suitable for flatwater and river use. Proper training and knowledge are necessary for use in whitewater. Users should never attempt paddling / kayaking in swift currents without proper training.
FAQ – PADDLE
![]()
What is the height range for the person(s) using the adjustable paddle?
The paddle can be adjusted for people between 1.5 m (5 ft 2 in) and 1.9 m (6 ft 5 in).
Note the height range on paddles from other Body Glove SUP models may be different.
Do I need to take off the paddle clip in order to adjust the length?
When adjusting the paddle length, DO NOT completely remove the height adjustment clip from the paddle. Adjusting the height on the paddle on shore is always best. The clip needs only to be pulled up about 0.64 cm (0.25 in) to adjust. Completely removing the clip may cause damage to the clip and the paddle and can lead to the clip falling in the water and sinking.
What should I do if the paddle clip comes off and how do I tell if it is broken?
If the paddle locking clip comes off, you can line up the holes with the prongs and reinsert. If one or both of the prongs are missing, then a replacement clip(s) will be needed. Contact our customer service team for assistance.
I broke my paddle. What should I do?
Purchase a new paddle or contact customer service. (See customer service information).
FAQ – MOUNTS & ATTACHMENTS
![]()
What is this mount used for?
That is an action camera mount. Use an appropriate attachment point on your action camera and install it into the mount to record your time on the water.
NOTE: The manufacturer will not be held liable for damaged or lost cameras while on the action camera mount. Not all models have this accessory.
![]()
My board has a small hook on the nose, what is it?
This is the tow point. Simply set the handle of a ski / wakeboard tow rope in the hook to tow your board behind a boat.
Note the tow point is rated for a maximum speed of 16 km / hr (10 MPH). Please use this feature responsibly and at a safe distance away from a boat' s propeller.
FAQ – REPAIR & MAINTENANCE
What items are in the repair kit and how do I use them?
The included repair kit has the following items: wrench, PVC material and O-ring washer for the hose end of the pump. The wrench is used to adjust and / or replace the valve. Tightening and replacing the valve are not routine maintenance procedures. Please contact customer service for detailed instructions. Should your board develop a tear, we have included a piece of matching material. For small tears (less than 5.1 cm / 2 in) you can use PVC adhesive glue to affix the PVC material over the tear. For larger tears, you should get assistance from a local marine repair shop.
A detailed protocol for repairing small tears can be found in the repair kit. Please note, glue is not included in the repair kit. Adhesive is not included due to the relatively short shelf life of this type of glue.
When done using the paddle board, what should be done for both short-term and long-term storage?
After each use, inspect the paddle board, in particular the valve area, and make sure that it is clean and free of any debris. Leaving the board inflated will not hurt the life span of the paddle board. However, the board should be stored in an area away from direct sunlight. Remember to check the pressure (15 PSI / 1 Bar) before using. It is recommended for extended storage (several months) that you deflate the board and store the paddle board in the enclosed backpack.
FAQ – TRANSPORT
![]()
Can I take my board on airplanes?
Yes, most airlines will allow you to check your inflatable board. Please note that the included backpack is too large for carry-on luggage. Make sure to check the airline's baggage policy before flying. Make sure to pack carefully so to lower the risk of damage to parts during transport.
Can I transport an inflated board on top of my car?
Yes. You will need to securely attach the board with strong enough rope or cam straps to an approved vehicle car rack. Make sure the pressure of the board is at least 12 PSI (0.83 Bar) for "on car" transport and that the board is secured firmly.
![]()
Failure to comply with the PSI or tie-down recommendations above may result in your board falling off your vehicle resulting in damage to your vehicle, your board and / or putting yourself and others in danger.
