Setting Jumpers and Switches It is possible to configure the In-Vehicle Computing Box to match the needs of the application by resetting the jumpers. A jumper is the simplest kind of electrical switch. It consists of two metal pins and a small metal clip, often protected by a plastic cover that slides over the pins to connect them.

Introduction AMIBIOS has been integrated into many motherboards for over a decade. With the AMIBIOS Setup program, you can modify BIOS settings and control the various sys- tem features. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the ARK-2151V BIOS setup screens. Figure 5.1 Setup program initial screen AMI's BIOS ROM has a built-in setup program that allows users to modify the basic system configuration.
Entering Setup Turn on the computer and then press <F2> or <DEL> to enter the Setup menu. 5.2.1 Main Setup When you first enter the BIOS Setup Utility, you will enter the Main setup screen. You can always return to the Main setup screen by selecting the Main tab. There are two Main Setup options.
5.2.2 Advanced BIOS Features Setup Select the Advanced tab from the ARK-2151V setup screen to enter the Advanced BIOS Setup screen.
