Channel Master MicroAmp
Important Information
The MicroAmp boosts signal strength by 10dB, potentially
improving channel reception. However, it may not resolve all
signal issues, so testing different setups is advised.
1. Do Not Use with Amplified Antennas: The MicroAmp
isn't compatible with antennas that have built-in
amplifiers. Avoid replacing the amplifer provided with a
third-party antenna with the MicroAmp.
2. Use the Included USB Cable: Only use the USB cable
that comes with the MicroAmp. Different or longer
cables can reduce power, affecting signal quality.
3. Avoid TV USB Ports: TV USB ports may not supply
enough power. Use the included adapter and plug it
into a wall outlet.
4. Connect Correctly: Follow the installation diagram
for proper power inserter connection to prevent
malfunction.
5. Proper Installation: Install the amplifier directly to the
antenna port. Ensure it's not installed backward.
6. Always Use the Power Inserter: The amplifier must be
paired with the power inserter; otherwise, it operates
passively, causing signal loss.
7. Low Signal vs Interference: Most indoor antenna
reception issues are caused by interference rather
than low signal strength. While adding an amplifier can
boost signal strength, it will not resolve interference
issues and may even worsen them. Test with and
without the amplifier to find the best setup for your
home.
Signal Optimization Tips
Start without the amplifier to gauge signal quality.
Experiment with antenna placement for best
reception.
Use the amplifier only if it improves signal quality.
Note: When not using the amplifier, store it and its accessories
for future use, as signal conditions can change over time.
