    Safety Safety 4.1 Intended and appropriate use The Astor COMPACT bath has been designed for bathing and giving personal care to dependent bathers in nursing homes, facilities for people with disabilities and private households. It is only suitable for use by children and adults who are capable of maintaining an upright seated position.

    Transport Requirements for the place of installation Instructions for the place of installation: ➢ Any wall decorations including floor coverings and tiles must be complete before the care tub is installed. ➢ Adjacent walls must be perpendicular, flat and free of obstructions. For instance, no electrical showers or towel racks may be installed in the motion range of the height-adjustable bath tub and the patient chair.

    Installation Installation The bath tub is supplied ready for use. Prior to the assembly of the bath, the local connection pipes must be sufficiently flushed before the care tub is connected. To avoid soiling of the pipes and fittings, dirt filters must be installed on site.

CAUTION After each treatment, the bath tub must be completely cleaned with a cleaning solution to avoid any cross-contamination. CAUTION Only use the cleaning solution after the patient has left the bath tub. Strictly respect and observe the manufacturer’s instructions for the used cleaner.
