1. GROUND ALL TOOLS. If tool is equipped with three-
prong
plug;
it should be plugged
into a three-hole
electrical receptacle.
If an adapter is used to accom-
modate
a two-prong
receptacle, the adapter wire must-
be attached
to a known
ground.
Never
remove
the
third prong.

is recommended
for best footing.
11. USE SAFETY GLASSES.
Also use face or dust mask if
cutting operation is dusty.

is accidently
contacted.

Before
mounting
a new
wheel, be sure that it is marked
with an R.P.M. that is the same
as, or higher than, the
no-load speed of the grinder as marked on the nameplate.
Do not overtighten wheel nut.

Never start a grinder with anyone,
including the operator,
ment wheel, stand to one side and allow it to revolve freely
for about one minute.
Do not grind on the sides of grinding wheels unless they
are the special wheels designed specifically for this purpose.
Do not over-tighten wheel nut.

Use only flanges furnished with this grinder.
CHECK
DAMAGED
PARTS.
Before further use of the tool,
a guard or other part that is damaged should be carefully
checked to assure that it will operate properly and perform
its intended function—check for alignment of moving parts,
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and
any other conditions that may affect its operation.

GROUNDING
This tool should be grounded whiie in use to protect the operator
from electric shock.
1. Cord-Connected
Tools—tThis tool should be grounded while
in use to protect the operator from electric shock.
The tool is
equipped with an approved three-conductor cord and three-prong
grounding type plug to fit the proper grounding type receptacle.
The green (or green and yellow) conductor in the cord is the
grounding wire.
Never connect the green (or green and yellow)
wire to a live terminal.
If your unit is for use on less than 150
volts, it has a plug like that shown in Figure A. If it is for use
on 150 to 250 volts, it has a plug like that shown in Figure D.
An adapter, Figures B and C, is available for connecting Figure
A plugs to two-prong receptacles.
