Setting up Internet,
email and MMS
With your phone you can access the Internet,
send and receive email, and send and receive
MMS messages. To do this you need to set up
Internet, email and MMS accounts.
You need to set up an Internet account with an
Internet Service provider (ISP) to do any of the
following:
• Access the Internet.
• Send and receive email messages.
• Send and receive MMS messages.
• Set up and use a Virtual Private Network
(VPN).
Setting up accounts
automatically
The most convenient way of setting up your
accounts is to use the Internet and Email
wizards provided in your phone.
Note: Normal rates apply when the Internet
and Email wizards connect to the Internet.
Using the Internet wizard
With this wizard you can automatically set up
the accounts required by applications that
require connection to the Internet.

network operator for more information.
You can use Internet wizard if your SIM card
supports the service and your phone is
connected to a network.
The Internet wizard is launched when:
• You start the phone the first time. The
wizard is launched immediately after the
language selection dialog.
• You start the phone and the SIM card is
changed since last time.
• You try to use Email wizard without
having an Internet account.

Control panel > Connections
Internet wizard starts with a
message and you select
with the settings. If the wizard finds more than
one possible operator you will be asked to
select the most appropriate one. A message is
displayed when the settings are successfully
downloaded.
Note: When using Internet wizard, your phone
is registered at Sony Ericsson but no personal
data is transferred to or processed by Sony
Ericsson.
