Setting up Email

Note: If your device is not a Vodafone variant, you will need to create an Internet profile, (see
the "Setting up Internet" guide) before following this guide.
1. from idle screen press menu key
2. scroll to and select email
3. scroll to and select accounts
4. highlight new account and press add key
5. select your name and enter name e.g. john smith, press cont
6. scroll to and select email address, enter email account address
and press cont
7. At Username enter the user name you login-in to your account with e.g. john.smith
8. enter email account password and press cont
9. at the connect to the internet prompt select no
10. highlight and select required connection type pop3/imap4
11. scroll to and select incoming server, enter account server address
12. scroll to and select SMTP server, enter your outgoing mail server address and press cont
13. at the update inbox prompt select no
14. highlight newly created email profile and press options
15. scroll to and select edit
16. scroll right to until pop3 or imap4 is displayed as heading
17. scroll to and select connect using
18. select connect using again
19. Select connect using and scroll to and select:
for Vodafone variant devices the embedded profiles called Contract Internet
for vanilla devices previously created internet profile e.g. Vodafone INT
20. Press Save
21. Scroll to and select SMTP tab
22. Scroll up to and select connect using,
23. Select connect using and scroll to and select:
for Vodafone variant devices the embedded profiles called Contract Internet
for vanilla devices previously created internet profile e.g. Vodafone INT
24. Press Save
25. To download your email select Back twice
26. Scroll to and select Inbox
27. Select Check Mail to download email items to the inbox
